Terrified by the clown of Northampton?

Do you suffer from Coulrophobian, if the answer is yes then perhaps you should avoid Northampton. A local is terrifying the locals by dressing as an evil clown and being spotted around in different locations. A facebook page has been set up to spot the clown with pictures rolling in thick and fast.

This act whilst scary is either a great PR stunt for something local or simply one mans obsession to fame. Having been on a number of major news channels and in print media he is sure to find new level of fame.

If you fancy doing something similar why not get yourself a scary clown mask

Top 5 Horror Movie Opening Credits

As you sit with the curtains drawn and the lights off for the horror to unfold on your home cinema system, it's important that the opening credits set the tone for the next hour and a half of terror that will unfold. Many Horror films over the years have produced perfect opening theme tunes or scenes. Here is 5 of the best of them:

1- Halloween

Where would we be without this gem, the tune perfectly creepy and fast paced to get the heart thumping. Instantly recognisable the world over.

2 - Scream

An opening scene with a top actress butchered, you can't get much better than that to set the tone. No suspense or build up needed, first murder complete before the opening titles.

3 - Child's Play

Who could forget walking into the toy store for the first time, to be met by rows and rows of creepy dolls. None are as creepy of Chucky.

4 - Dawn of the Dead

Featuring broken clips and some terrifying zombie sounds, this is perhaps made scarier by the upbeat sound of Johnny Cash.

5 - Texas Chainsaw Massacre

A true story opening for any horror movie sets your pulse racing a bit faster, and before Google became available on your mobile phone there was no way to know if it was just a marketing ploy or not!

Human Muzzle

The Human Muzzle was used as a medieval torture device, often bulky and made from iron these would be used to clamp together the jaw of the prisoner. This would render the victim incapable of eating, biting or drinking properly and made talking extremely painful.

In Modern society the most common association of a human muzzle is in the film, Silence of the Lambs, about a convicted cannibal called Hannibal Lecter. This effect made Hannibal the Cannibal immeasurably more scary looking, wearing a muzzle is terrifying for those around you as clearly someone deemed you so unsafe you weren't allowed to bite anything in sight.

As a costume a Human Muzzle is sure to be terrifyingly scary to those around you, coupled with a straight jacket this is sure to a be a Halloween winner!

5 Terrifying Childrens Toys

With the release of the latest chucky movie this year, kids and their toys will be back in the glare of Horror, scaring the masses. Chucky the doll was a character of fun, slasher with a sense of humour, after all he was a childs toy. So let's have a look at some other kids toys that could easily become the next Chucky.

Chuck Mask £19.99
1 - Furbies - These creepy little things remind me of Gremlins, don't feed them after midnight or they will multiply and take over the town. I don't know which is more frightening, the toy itself or that fact these are the fastest selling toy in UK history.

2 - Pregnant Doll - We all want our kids to grow up educated and learn about a myriad of different things, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't include having a pregnant doll, complete with unborn fetus. Perhaps the pro life campaign can use these dolls as teaching aids, complete with a dustbin for all the unwanted babies. Or perhaps you could get an alien toy and then recreate a scene from the film alien with it bursting from the stomach.

3 - Shave Doll - This is just tooo wrong, its made in China, unsurpisingly I can't see a mass market for this hairy little creature.

4 - Face Bank - A face like something out of DR Who guarding your piggy bank, erm no thanks. Perhaps they are cool, but they also might end up speaking to your child in the night, making him steal from your wallet.

5 - Baby Jake - A rival for Chucky this doll is seriously creepy, the concept of the show being a baby that goes on wild adventures, but the doll is about as realistic as a stick man. This doll just needs a meat clever and you have a horror movie franchise right there!
